We are the captive Shared Service Provider for DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Freight (DGFF).Our organization consists of more than 4,600 colleagues, supported by approximately 500 virtual FTE (bots used for process automation). We operate across six service delivery centers located in Mumbai, Chennai, Chengdu, Manila, Bogot, and Budapest. In this role, you will collaborate with people across the globe and experience the truly international nature of our organization.
As theSenior Team Manager - Finance RTR & ICO, you will be responsible for ensuring that financial practices are fully aligned with business operations, enabling accurate reflection of financial results within operational activities. You will lead your team in executing efficient and timely finan cial close processes, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring highquality reporting that enhances overall customer satisfaction. This role is critical in maintaining a strong internal control environment and delivering reliable financial insights that support strategic decisionmaking.
You will leverage deep expertise in shared services finance operations to drive performance across the organization. With accountability for all RTR, ICO activities, you will manage teams responsible for endtoend Record to Report and Intercompany processes. A key part of this role involves leading and mentoring teams across multiple countries and regions, totalling more than 100 FTE. Strong business partner engagement will also be essential for building effective relationships and ensuring seamless and successful completion of all finance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the spectrum of Record to Report (RTR) & Intercompany (ICO) operations, ensuring meticulous management of month-end closures, financial reporting, reconciliations, and journal entries. Guarantee the integrity and timeliness of accounting and reporting activities, upholding the highest standards of compliance and ethics.
- Direct and inspire a dedicated team of 100 finance professionals, establishing clear goals, providing consistent feedback, and evaluating performance to cultivate a high-performing and motivated workforce. Champion career development and succession planning to nurture future leaders.
- Foster strong relationships with around 20+ Business Partners globally, ensuring open and effective communication, especially with Regional and Country CFOs. Deliver regular updates on service delivery achievements and innovations, addressing any concerns swiftly to maintain exceptional customer satisfaction levels.
- Actively collaborate with Business Finance and key stakeholders on strategic initiatives, contributing to continuous enhancements in processes and systems. Lead the adoption of new technologies and ERP updates to drive operational excellence and efficiency across the RTR & ICO towers.
- Drive the standardization, automation, and optimization of RTR processes, leveraging cutting-edge tools and technologies to enhance operational quality and efficiency. Emphasize continuous improvement to adapt to evolving business needs and challenges.
- Utilizing predictive metrics and data analysis to manage productivity and optimize strategies, ensuring efficient and effective finance & accounting processes.
- Maintain a stringent control environment, ensuring adherence to internal controls, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular reviews and updates of SOPs and SLAs to reflect current operational demands and best practices.
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of precise and insightful financial reports and analyses, facilitating strategic decision-making. Manage audit engagements and interactions with auditors to fortify the control environment and address audit findings effectively.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with IFRS/GAAP and internal policies.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks within the RTR & ICO processes, collaborating with relevant teams to align with best practices and regulatory standards. Enhance risk management frameworks to safeguard against financial and operational vulnerabilities.
- Demonstrating project management skills to drive initiatives aimed at improving collections processes and overall operational effectiveness.
- Establish a robust knowledge management framework to capture and disseminate best practices and insights across the team. Implement targeted training programs to ensure team members are well-versed in the latest accounting standards, regulatory updates, and technological advancements.
- Ensure that all financial processes and outputs meet or exceed business expectations. Address service delivery challenges proactively, ensuring smooth and effective transitions and operations in alignment with business objectives.

Required skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration (B.Com [Preferred] B.B.A/B.B.M [considered]), or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in Finance or Accounting are highly advantageous.
- Excellent understanding of accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and relevant work experience in this area is edge.
- A substantial track record, ideally 10 - 15 years, in managing Finance & Accounting teams with a Minimum of 6 years of experience in leading and managing a team of approximately 100 individuals.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and driving results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing finance teams, fostering an environment of high performance.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Effective in building partnerships, aligning finance activities with business objectives, and enhancing the visibility of the finance function.
- Excellence in presentation skills, including creating PowerPoint presentations and delivering them effectively to senior leadership.
