Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers and project support professionals supporting US-based construction projects.
  • Plan and allocate resources based on project priorities, workload, technical complexity, and delivery schedules.
  • Set clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and delivery timelines while monitoring team productivity, quality, utilization, and project milestones.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight for electrical engineering workstreams across multiple projects.
  • Review electrical engineering deliverables for accuracy, constructability, coordination, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Guide the team in interpreting contract documents, drawings, specifications, scope requirements, and applicable project standards.
  • Review RFIs, submittals, technical queries, and supporting documentation, ensuring proposed technical solutions are accurate and appropriate.
  • Coordinate across disciplines to identify and resolve design conflicts, interface issues, and constructability concerns.
  • Act as a key point of contact between the engineering team and US-based project teams, design consultants, trade partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Track project priorities, risks, dependencies, and outstanding actions, ensuring issues are resolved within agreed timelines.
  • Prepare and communicate project status updates, performance reports, risk summaries, and recovery plans to project stakeholders and leadership.
  • Oversee document-control processes, including contract documents, drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, revisions, approval workflows, and document quality.
  • Lead electrical project closeout activities, including as-built documentation, O&M manuals, warranties, testing records, commissioning documentation, and client turnover requirements.
  • Support project budget and commercial management, including proposal and change review, payment applications, commitments, forecasts, and cost-risk monitoring.
  • Identify technical, contractual, schedule, commercial, quality, and delivery risks and drive mitigation actions through closure.
  • Promote quality and safety considerations throughout engineering reviews and project planning.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs related to quality, responsiveness, productivity, and schedule adherence.
  • Drive continuous improvement through process standardization, automation, knowledge sharing, lessons learned, and quality-control initiatives.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and development of team members.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering and construction coordination.
  • Strong understanding of construction documentation, drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change management, project closeout, budgets, and payment processes.
  • Proven people leadership, coaching, mentoring, and team-development skills.
  • Strong project planning, resource allocation, delegation, and performance-management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, stakeholders, and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective collaboration with international stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to review complex technical and contractual documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong risk identification, mitigation, quality-management, and continuous-improvement capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, accountable, and capable of delivering in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills across project teams, clients, consultants, trade partners, and vendors.
  • Working knowledge of construction/project management platforms such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Aconex, and SAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with US-based stakeholders and provide working-hour overlap when required.
