Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an RTR Tower Lead/ Assistant Manager for the Record to Report process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Finance and demonstrate exceptional abilities in managing RTR teams through all aspects of the end-to-end process.

  1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Management

Organize work for the team according to priorities and planning aligned with Head of RTR AMDS SSF (located in Europe) and periodically report on work progress to this person

Team Management

Manage a team of approximately 20-30 accountants

Journal Entry Oversight

Oversee preparation, review, and posting of complex journal entries (routine and non-routine), ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS. Guide team members on standards and quality.

GL Supervision

Supervise general ledger account maintenance and reconciliations. Ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly and support the team in maintaining timely and accurate updates during close cycles.

Account Review & Analysis

Lead regular review of balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses. Guide team in identifying P&L exposures and ensure root causes are investigated and addressed.

Period-End Close Leadership

Drive coordination and delivery of month-end and year-end closing activities. Ensure team meets all deadlines with complete and accurate financial data.

Intercompany Oversight

Oversee intercompany processes, ensuring reconciliations are performed and discrepancies resolved in line with regulatory and transfer pricing requirements.

Financial Reporting

Review and validate internal and external reports prepared by the team (IFRS). Ensure quality of insights, footnotes, and commentary.

Fixed Asset Oversight

Supervise fixed asset accounting activities including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation. Ensure compliance with policy and accuracy in reporting.

Controls & Compliance Leadership

Ensure team adherence to internal controls and SOX. Prepare for audits by ensuring timely delivery of accurate supporting documentation. Coordinate timely execution of necessary SOX and relevant internal controls and submission of required evidences

Documentation Management

Ensure the team maintains comprehensive documentation for all R2R activities, enabling audit readiness and data integrity.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Act as point of contact for cross-functional teams. Enable smooth collaboration, resolve escalated queries, and support team communication with other business units.

Process Improvement Leadership

Champion process improvement and automation initiatives. Empower the team to identify and implement enhancements across the R2R cycle.

Team Coaching & Capability Building

Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members. Actively support professional development and ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities.

Team Engagement & Motivation

Foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture. Lead regular check-ins, celebrate wins, and maintain motivation during high-volume periods.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Working knowledge of ERP, knowledge of SAP S4/HANA
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools, e.g. Excel, Power BI
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs specifically in Excel
  • Fluency in English min C1 (verbal and written)

REQUIREMENTS

Degree

Graduate / PG in Commerce, University Diploma in Finance

Qualifications - Graduate / PG in Commerce/ Qualified accountants (CA/CPA/CMA)

Experience

Experience - 7 -9 Years

  • + 4years of leadership experience in the fields of Accounting and Finance

  • + 4 years of experience in Record to Report and related fields

Preferably in an outsourcing environment or service industry
