Summary of the role:

The Senior Manager, Consulting leads a team of 2-3 consultants while overseeing a student pod of 70-75 scholars, ensuring smooth operations and high-impact student outcomes. They play a crucial role in team leadership, fostering collaboration, optimizing workflows, and maintaining a structured, results-driven environment.

A key focus of this role is admissions strategy and student differentiation, where the Senior Manager conducts in-depth evaluations to enhance students profiles and strengthen their applications for Ivy League and top-tier universities. This requires staying ahead of admissions trends and curating tailored strategies that make student applications stand out.

The Senior Manager is responsible for roadmap development and project ideation, identifying unique, interdisciplinary initiatives in fields like Computer Science, AI, Business, and Liberal Arts to enhance scholars academic and extracurricular growth. They also drive continuous student progress monitoring, conducting milestone assessments and implementing corrective actions to ensure academic and personal development.

Additionally, this role demands rigorous KPI tracking, including student engagement, project execution, client satisfaction, and admission success rates. By maintaining strong relationships with students and parents, they ensure a seamless experience

Lastly, the Senior Manager plays a vital role in team motivation and development, mentoring consultants, fostering resilience, and sustaining momentum during the intensive application season.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership & Team Management: Overseeing a team of 4-5 consultants while managing a student pod of 70-75 scholars. Ensuring operational efficiency, team cohesion, and high-impact student outcomes.
  2. Admissions Strategy & Profile Differentiation: Conducting strategic evaluations of student profiles to maximize Ivy League and top-tier college admissions. Developing deep expertise in crafting standout applications aligned with evolving admission trends.
  3. Tailored Roadmaps & Project Ideation: Designing customized, high-impact strategies for incoming students, identifying unique, interdisciplinary projects spanning Computer Science, AI, Physics, Economics, Business, and Liberal Arts to strengthen their academic and extracurricular portfolios.
  4. Student Growth Monitoring & Corrective Action: Tracking scholar progress through structured milestone reviews, offering targeted interventions to enhance academic, extracurricular, and personal development.
  5. Team Motivation & Development: Sustaining team morale and resilience through the intensive application season (October–December). Providing continuous feedback, mentorship, and learning opportunities to consultants.
  6. KPI & Performance Tracking: Ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) for scholar success, including:
  • Scholar & Parent Check-ins – Maintaining high engagement and proactive communication.
  • Project Progress & Quality – Driving excellence in research and extracurricular initiatives.
  • Client Satisfaction – Addressing escalations, ensuring top-tier service.
  • Admissions Results – Measuring success through student placements.
