This Position reports to:
TCMS Project Technical LeadYour role and responsibilities:
Lead the TCMS scope of railway projects, ensuring end-to-end delivery from requirement gathering to commissioning. Collaborate with global stakeholders and customers to design, validate, and implement TCMS solutions in compliance with international standards and railway-specific protocols.

This role is contributing to the Motion Business Traction division in Bengaluru, India:
Main stakeholders are railway/rolling stock integrators.
You will be mainly accountable for:
TCMS engineering activities across the project lifecycle, aligned with EN50657 and EN50128 V-cycle development models.
Translate functional descriptions into Software Requirement Specifications (SRS) and logical/mathematical models.
Conduct internal and external design reviews, ensuring alignment with project goals and stakeholder expectations.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive customer documentation, including specifications, validation reports, and training materials.
Perform validation activities using PC-based simulators and hardware-in-the-loop setups in the TCMS lab.
Support static and dynamic commissioning of the first trainset.
Travel to customer sites for design presentations, technical discussions, and approvals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of TCMS with propulsion, auxiliary systems, and onboard signaling.
Qualifications for the role:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Controls Engineering with 5 to 8 years of experience in TCMS engineering, preferably in railway applications.
Hands-on experience in programming, testing, and commissioning within the railway domain.
Proficient in IEC 61131 programming (SIL0 & SIL2 applications).
Strong understanding of railway electronics and subsystem-level electrical schematics.
Familiarity with communication protocols: CAN, MVB, WTB, TRDP, Dual-homing, Ethernet and other TCN networking concepts.
Experience with TCMS equipment: DDU, VCU, WTB gateways, ECS, TRS, and onboard signaling systems like ATC and TCAS (Kavach).
Experience working with locomotives, metros, and EMUs. TCMS SIL2 software development certification is highly desirable.
