Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist the team during new client pitches or new assignments with existing clients.
- Understand client requirements from an advisory and compliance perspective.
- Prepare draft proposals outlining the detailed scope of work.
- Assist the team in completion of risk processes before initiating engagements.
- Provide support in advisory services, including fact gathering, research review, understanding tax implications, liaising with seniors, clients, and team members, and drafting replies or opinions.
- Prepare and review tax computations and periodic GST returns.
- Ensure client timelines and statutory due dates for advisory or compliance services are met.
- Assist during VAT / Service Tax / GST audits or assessments, including document review, liaising with clients and tax authorities, and preparation/submission of replies.
- Assist in litigation matters, including understanding notices/orders, reviewing facts, drafting/reviewing replies or appeals, and liaising with tax authorities and clients.
- Communicate regular updates on Indirect Tax matters to clients and team members.
- Guide and advise the team on Indirect Tax concepts.
- Actively participate in internal training sessions, both as a trainee and trainer.
- Ensure quality deliverables in terms of content and formatting within timelines.
- Assist seniors with practice management, billing, and tracking client receivables.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 02 years of post-qualification experience in Indirect Tax compliance and advisory services
