The Role
We are looking for a hunter by instinct and a talent detective by craft. Someone who does not wait for candidates to apply, but instead goes out and finds the people who are not looking.
This is a senior individual contributor role with a clear runway into team leadership.
You will own end-to-end talent acquisition for India and APAC, with a sharp focus on sourcing and engaging passive candidates for niche tech and non-tech roles.

What You Will Do
1. Sourcing & Executive Search (Your Primary Mandate)
- Own the full search lifecycle for niche, senior, and specialist roles across India and APAC
- Design and execute targeted headhunting strategies to reach passive, high-value talent
- Build and continuously cultivate a proprietary talent pipeline - not a reactive database
- Conduct structured assessments to evaluate skills, experience, cultural alignment, and growth potential
- Negotiate and close offers with confidence and candidate empathy
2. Employer Brand & Candidate Experience
- Position Sciente as an employer of choice within the BFSI technology and AI/data talent community
- Deliver a consistently excellent candidate experience — from first outreach to Day 1 onboarding
- Represent Sciente's values authentically in every candidate interaction
3. Onboarding & HR Operations
- Manage offer documentation, employment contracts, and pre-joining engagement
- Coordinate smooth onboarding — orientation, paperwork, system access, and policy briefings
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
4. Employee Engagement & Productivity
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee HR queries and welfare matters
- Drive engagement initiatives that reinforce team morale and a high-performance culture
- Use hiring outcome data to sharpen and improve future sourcing and assessment approaches
5. Team Building (As You Scale)
- As hiring volumes grow, recruit, mentor, and lead a team of TA professionals
- Build systems, processes, and a sourcing culture that can scale with the business
What We Are Looking For
Non-negotiable:
- 8–12 years of hands-on experience in talent acquisition, executive search, or headhunting
- Demonstrated mastery of passive candidate sourcing - Boolean search, talent mapping, LinkedIn Recruiter, referral networks, and beyond
- A proven track record of closing hard-to-fill, niche, or senior roles - with specifics you can speak to
- Stability and sustained achievement across your career - we value depth over breadth of moves
Strongly preferred:
- Background in technology, consulting, or BFSI talent acquisition
- Experience building or contributing to employer branding initiatives
- Prior exposure to growing or mentoring a small TA team

TA Lead → Head of Talent Acquisition (Internal + Client) → HR Director
