Senior Tableau Developer

As a Senior Tableau Developer, you will be responsible for building high-quality, scalable dashboards and BI solutions using Tableau. You will work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into intuitive visualizations, while ensuring strong performance, efficient querying, and robust data modeling. The role demands expertise in Tableau, SQL, and handling large datasets, along with a strong focus on dashboard UX and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards using Tableau Desktop, Tableau Cloud/Server, and Tableau Prep

• Write efficient SQL queries and implement data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling)

• Handle large datasets with a focus on performance tuning and optimization

• Design intuitive dashboards following UX and visualization best practices

• Build advanced Tableau visualizations and leverage platform capabilities

• Work with multiple data sources and connectors

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver BI solutions

• Work with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift

Required Skills and Experience

• 6–8 years of experience in Tableau development / BI engineering

• Strong expertise in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Cloud/Server, and Tableau Prep

• Strong SQL skills and data modeling knowledge

• Experience with performance tuning and large datasets

• Experience with AI/ML-driven analytics or augmented BI

• Knowledge of Python for data analysis

• Familiarity with embedded analytics (JavaScript API, React)

• Familiarity with data governance frameworks

• Strong understanding of dashboard design and UX best practices

• Experience building advanced and visually appealing Tableau dashboards

• Experience working with different data connectors

• Exposure to cloud data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
