We are seeking a Senior Systems Architect specializing in Azure Cloud to lead the design and implementation of robust, secure and scalable cloud solutions.
This role requires deep expertise in Azure infrastructure, API management and enterprise integration, with a focus on delivering high-performance architectures for complex enterprise environments.
Responsibilities
- Design resilient, secure, performance-optimized and cost-efficient Azure and hybrid cloud architectures
- Architect, build and maintain Azure API Management (APIM) platforms
- Define and implement API governance models, enterprise standards and certification strategies
- Implement API monitoring and analytics across cloud-native environments
- Migrate API proxies from legacy or other APIM platforms to Azure APIM
- Develop and maintain Terraform modules, scripts and Azure DevOps pipelines for infrastructure provisioning
- Lead proof of concept (PoC) development and complex solution evaluations
- Troubleshoot high-impact issues and provide deep technical analysis and resolution
- Communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels technical and non-technical
- Present architecture solutions to both business and technical audiences
- Provide leadership and mentorship on Azure APIM and API strategies
- Identify, communicate and mitigate risks across programs and projects
Requirements
- 18-25 years of overall IT experience
- Knowledge of Azure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep and ARM templates
- Expertise in API Management, including policy definitions, gateway configuration and hybrid deployments
- Proficiency in Azure platform services such as Networking (VNet, NSGs, Subnets, UDRs, VNet Peering), Security (Azure WAF, Defender, Key Vault, Entra ID, Azure Policy) and Monitoring & Operations (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Costs & Budget)
- Skills in CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Competency in scripting with PowerShell, Bash and Azure CLI
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools like NewRelic and Venafi
- Background in Azure Application Gateway, Front Door, Application Insights and Azure Cache for Redis
- Understanding of Azure Functions, EventHub and REST APIs
- Capability to apply Azure Defender, Azure Policy and API security patterns
- Experience with enterprise integration patterns and cloud governance
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AKAMAI, F5, Azure Firewall and Infoblox DNS
- Understanding of SOAP APIs (WSDL), DataPower, Boomi, Tibco Mashery and CA Layer7
- Background in Linux container apps, Java, AKS and microservices orchestration
- Understanding of Azure Landing Zone concepts
- Experience with hub-and-spoke network topology in Azure
