Job Description

Senior Systems Administrator  

E-Link Software Technologies is seeking an experienced systems administrator. This person will protect our critical systems and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in developing the overall IT strategy, lead initiatives, and be responsible for results. The ideal candidate will be passionate about applying skills and expertise to a technology-based business model that creates real-world solutions. 

Objectives of this role is to

Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.

Take responsibility for Cyber Security

Take responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative.

Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems that provide commercial advantage

Enable faster and smarter business processes

Work with internal and external partners  

Responsibilities

Perform server administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly

Monitor system health using existing management tools, and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new systems when needed

Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments

Remote branch office support

Assist with troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed

Server patching

Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups 

Key accountabilities

Provide technical administration and support on applications.

Monitor security and infrastructure stability, availability and performance across applications to guarantee efficient delivery of services Ongoing maintenance of applications to ensure the efficiency, security and availability.

identify risks to availability and develop risk mitigation and remediation plans

Research and investigate Office 365 technical issues, diagnosing and resolving or escalating as appropriate, to ensure that disruptions to users are kept at a minimum and Testing and Change management procedures are followed at all times.

Develop capability through the adoption of research and knowledge sharing practices to improve security 

Required skills and qualifications

Proven success in an IT role

Experience with or knowledge of operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and caching

Experience in cloud computing (specifically Microsoft Azure)

Expertise in analyzing and resolving issues in large-scale distributed systems;  

Preferred skills and qualifications

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science

Professional certification

Hardware procurement

Knowledge of Networking, Antivirus, Windows Systems administration

Coordination with vendors
