Job Description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft Power Platform Developer to design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Pages, Azure Logic Apps, and related automation and ALM tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust, high-performing applications and workflows that support our business processes and long-term digital strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain canvas and model-driven Power Apps, Power Pages and end-to-end Power Platform solutions, connecting to diverse data sources including Dataverse, utilising AI Builder and AI Prompt Builder and ensuring strong performance, reliability, and a polished, modern user interface.
  • Maintain and enhance existing Power Platform solutions with similar stack as listed above, ensuring adherence to best practices, governance standards, and security guidelines.
  • Build and manage Azure Logic Apps and Power Automate integrations and automations; develop Azure Functions where required using a supported language (PowerShell, Python).
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and IT Project Manager to discuss requirements when needed, translate business needs into technical designs, and deliver production-ready applications.
  • Help define and manage environment strategy, including DEV/TEST/UAT/PROD, sandbox environments, and access permissions.
  • Collaborate to strategise and implement and maintain Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) practices using solutions, Power Platform pipelines, Git-based repositories, and Azure DevOps.
  • Work with solutions using AI Builder and AI Prompt Builder to enhance automation and intelligence within business processes (desirable).
  • Support eventual management and operation of Microsoft Sustainability Manager (Dynamics app) solutions (desirable).
  • Produce documentation, including solution designs, configuration details, and user guides.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing support for deployed applications and workflows.
  • Produce documentation for solutions implemented.

Requirements

Essential

  • Strong, hands-on experience developing Power Apps, Power Pages and Power Automate.
  • Experience designing scalable, maintainable Power Platform solutions, including data sources such as Dataverse and Fabric, connectors, and environment configuration.
  • Solid understanding of UI/UX principles with the ability to build clean, functional and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Experience with Azure Logic Apps or Power Automate (similar) for workflow automation and system integrations.
  • Ability to write, manage, and troubleshoot automation logic, including expressions, custom connectors, and APIs.
  • Understanding of application lifecycle management (ALM) within the Power Platform.
  • Experience working with API integrations, specifically RESTful.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical designs.

Desirable

  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400)
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600)
  • Experience with AI Builder and other Power Platform AI components.
  • Experience building or maintaining Azure Logic Apps and Functions (Python or PowerShell).
  • Understanding of DevOps concepts such as versioning (git), repositories and pipelines.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Sustainability Manager platform.
