1. Purpose of the Role
ArcelorMittal is looking for a Senior System Engineer Middleware with more than 7 years of experience, working in close collaboration with internal and external IT teams as well as application teams.
The role assumes responsibility for middleware file transfer and messaging solutions, covering:
- Messaging: IBM MQ Series, RabbitMQ, Omegamon for MQ
- File Transfer: XFB Gateway, MFT / Globalscape, CFT, SecureTransport, Sentinel, OpenSSH
- Monitoring: ELK (Kibana)
- Protocols: MQ, MQTT, AMQP, FTP, SFTP, PESIT, AS2, etc.
The scope of responsibilities includes ArcelorMittal Flat Europe transversal applications and services operating in complex and critical environments.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain middleware components
- Monitor systems and take proactive actions to ensure SLA compliance
- Configure and set up middleware solutions based on application requirements
- Investigate and resolve incidents, including short-term fixes and long-term corrective actions
- Manage change and evolution requests, including new file transfer flows
- Provide 24/7 on-call support (weekly rotation) for in-scope middleware platforms

- Good experience with the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for:

- Operating Systems & Tools:

5. Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Master's degree is a plus
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure as a Technician
- High-level knowledge and deep hands-on practice in one or more of the following:
- IBM MQ Series
- XFB Gateway
- Globalscape
- CFT
- SecureTransport
- SFTP / OpenSSH
- Mandatory L3 experience in large-scale file transfer and messaging solutions
- Experience in multi-environment (DEV, QA, PROD) and multi-platform (Windows, Linux, Unix, z/OS) setups
- Prior experience with 24/7 production support and on-call duty
