Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior System Engineer – Managed File Transfer (MFT) with strong expertise in enterprise file transfer platforms, secure data exchange, infrastructure administration, and L3 production support.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain MFT platforms across DEV, QA, and PROD environments.
Design, implement, and support secure file transfer workflows.
Administer transfer nodes, agents, schedules, and routing rules.
Monitor file transfers to ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs) and throughput requirements.
Investigate and resolve complex file transfer incidents at L2/L3 support levels.
Perform end-to-end troubleshooting across all components of file transfer workflows.
Manage the onboarding of new applications, business partners, and external systems.
Maintain security compliance across SSH keys, certificates, encryption, and access controls.
Support change requests, platform enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in 24/7 production on-call support, including weekly rotations.
Collaborate with application teams and external partners to resolve technical issues and maintain service reliability.
Develop scripts for automation, file transfer replay, and operational monitoring.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure.
Mandatory L3-level experience with enterprise Managed File Transfer platforms.
Hands-on experience with MFT solutions such as Globalscape, XFB Gateway, CFT, or SecureTransport.
Strong understanding of SFTP, FTP, PESIT, and AS2 protocols.
Strong knowledge of SSH, digital certificates, encryption, and access control.
Experience working across Linux/Unix, Windows, and Mainframe environments.
Scripting and automation experience for monitoring, troubleshooting, and file transfer operations.
Experience with the ELK Stack for dashboards, alerts, and operational visibility.
Experience supporting applications across DEV, QA, and production environments.
Previous experience with 24/7 on-call production support.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively with global, multicultural teams.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of Axway Sentinel.
Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana, including administration and configuration.
Basic understanding of mainframe file transfers and z/OS.
Knowledge of Kubernetes is an added advantage.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
A Master's degree is an added advantage.
