Job Description
- HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 is our flagship Object storage Platform that was released in November 2024. This product line powers many of customers AI first use-cases tapping Data Intelligence from their Storage systems.
- Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs system software programs for enhancements and new products for the storage systems. Develops system/platform software for enabling different components on the storage arrays.
Responsibilities:
- Systems Engineer with expertise in Enterprise storage product.
- Designs and develops new features part of periodic firmware release for X10000 family of storage products
- Design and develop features/capabilities related to Object storage
- Designs enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including IO path, storage management, databases and cloud-related application.
- Responsibilities also include improvement/stability of a codebase release by targeted code fixes, minor enhancements
- Triage and fix customer issues as part of minor releases and creatively address customer issues through validated work-arounds
- Work often involves cross organizational interactions: Hardware, Firmware, System management, Network teams, Architects, other organizations, etc. to arrive at the best solutions.
- Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.
- Writes and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of system; identifies and debugs and creates solutions for issues with code and integration into system architecture.
- Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and external partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
- Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
What you need to bring:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Working experience of 10+ years with 5+ years in storage domain
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have very strong system programming background with C/C++/ Golang for large enterprise class software.
- A Storage first person is highly desired
- Must have proficiency with data structures, algorithms and multi-threaded programming
- Must have in-depth knowledge of OS internals, networking, and storage concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- D Prior experience handling support for customer issues/escalations is highly desired
- esigning software systems running on multiple platform types.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels.
