Background
Assignment is to do an open-source Proof of Concept for our Enterprise workload automation capability.
The scope of the consultant services is to assist in:
- Plan and execute end-to-end system and infrastructure migrations for different tech stacks like ETL, middleware, backend job orchestration platforms etc.
- Manage database, middleware, and platform transitions
- Automate migration and configuration processes
- Ensure system performance, scalability, and security
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize post-migration systems
- Coordinate with development and DevOps teams
- Validate data integrity and system compatibility
- Handle risk assessment and rollback strategies
- Day-to-day tasks
- Conduct deep-dive discovery sessions with application teams.
- Build a requirement catalog (current + future needs).
- Develop a capability matrix comparing current solution with alternative solutions.
- Identify cost-saving and modernization opportunities.
- Act as liaison between business stakeholders, architects, and vendors.
Requirements:
Desired knowledge, experience, competence, skills etc
- Strong Linux/Unix and system administration skills
- Proficiency in Python and scripting (Bash/Shell)
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
- Knowledge of database migration and replication techniques
- Familiarity with middleware and application servers
- Understanding of networking (DNS, load balancing, firewalls)
- Experience with CI/CD tools and automation pipelines
- Monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
