Role Context
This role will anchor the end-to-end supply chain for defence electronics integration programs, covering both electronic and precision mechanical ecosystems.
You will play a critical role in building a resilient, compliant, and scalable supply chain backbone aligned with defence-grade requirements and indigenization priorities.
What You Will Own
- Lead end-to-end Supply Chain Management across:
- Electronic components (active/passive, PCB/PCBA)
- Connectors, wiring harness & interconnect systems
- CNC machined precision parts
- Sheet metal fabrication & assemblies (enclosures, chassis, brackets)
- Build and manage a defence-grade supplier ecosystem:
- Precision machining vendors
- Sheet metal & fabrication partners
- Electronics & interconnect suppliers
- Drive supplier qualification, compliance & traceability aligned to defence standards
- Own cost, quality, and delivery performance across programs
- Lead strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, and long-term partnerships
- Manage supply chain risks:
- Long lead electronic components
- Obsolescence & lifecycle challenges
- Single-source dependencies
- Drive localization / indigenization initiatives critical for defence programs
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing for seamless execution
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 1218 years in defence / aerospace / EMS / electronics integration SCM
- Strong exposure across:
- Electronics (PCB, components, connectors)
- Mechanical (CNC machining, sheet metal, fabrication)
- Experience in:
- Precision machining & fabrication supply chains
- Defence / regulated environments (documentation, traceability)
- Global + domestic sourcing mix
- Strong commercial acumen with hands-on negotiation expertise
