Senior Supervisor - Record to Report

1. Location: - Bangalore

Model: Hybrid

2. Role Summary

The Team Leader/Subject Matter Expert will be responsible for migrating and providing

service support for our global finance teams to ensure effective data quality & auditing,

training, and knowledge transfer on Workday key concepts. The role requires effective

troubleshooting and defect resolution of issues that arise in Workday and any downstream

integrations in addition to extending subject matter expertise helping the team of

accountants perform their day-to-day tasks/activities. Workday modules include – Review of

daily tasks/activities, bank reconciliations, journal entries processing, stakeholder

management, month end and close activities, period open & close, flux reporting, audit

support, people leadership, goal setting & performance management, etc.,

3. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate and consult with stakeholders throughout the enterprise.

• Plan and execute knowledge transfer from onshore to offshore.

• Design & document end to end of process knowledge, procedures, and controls.

• Build/design activity/tasks checklist for all the in-scope activities/tasks.

• Perform review of daily activities such as bank accounting, journal processing,

reconciliations, flux reporting, issue log maintenance, escalations & stakeholder

management, queries, audit support, goal setting, performance management, metrics

reporting, governance, Fixed Assets accounting, month end close, etc.,

• Plan work allocation and back up creation for all the team members.

• Ensure month end checklist is updated and reported on timely manner.

• Define goals for all the team members in line with the organization goals and objectives.

• Ensure metrics driven service quality by maintaining process metrics/dashboards.

• Perform quarterly review and development meetings for self and team.

• Ensure training plan for self and team basis the quarterly performance review meetings.

• Prepare talent card for self and team basis the quarterly review meetings.

• Perform review of month end activities such as posting journal batches, balance sheet

reconciliations, BS review items, Concur accounting review, FX rates, Setup new month, GL

Batches, etc.,

• Support SOX, Internal and External audit process.

• Review data from the GL ledger/system, unit reports and various financial systems to ensure

accuracy.

• Maintain knowledge of Vontier accounting and regulatory reporting policies.

• Understand and ensure compliance and risk management policies.

• Perform ongoing financial control functions in accordance with internal controls policies.

• Prepare flux analysis and comments.

• Help in preparing quarterly, half yearly and annual schedules.

• Maintain clear escalation matrix and adhere to the protocols.

• Maintain a detailed opportunities/issues log to capture all service quality issues, noticed

either by self-audit/review or in the form of escalations from business stakeholders.

• Every issue recorded should be root caused with clear CAPA – corrective action & preventive

actions laid out basis the root cause and possible opportunities.

• Drive process transformation, reengineering & continuous improvement to drive better

controls and productivity basis the opportunities identified from the opportunities/issues log

file.

• Support leaders up with execution of strategic plans laid out.

owners, IT teams). Clear articulation of process changes and benefits.

• Risk Management: Mitigating risks related to process deviations, compliance, and security.

Implementing controls and monitoring.

• Collaboration: Working across functions, regions, and business units. Building strong

relationships with stakeholders.

• Investigative Skills: Ability to identify issue, root-cause the issue and define realistic

solutions.

• Others: US GAAP and/or IFRS knowledge. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.

Proven professional with understanding of accounting theory, current accounting issues, and

accounting systems. Hands on experience with end to end of process knowledge including

documentation and assessment of design and operating effectiveness of controls. Strong

written and verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively within all

levels of the Company including those outside of the accounting function. A proven track

record in meeting deadlines and working collaboratively as part of a team. Demonstrated

leadership capability and a strong desire to advance in your career through stretch

assignments and personal growth. Intimate working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

(especially Excel) and tech savvy to enable adoption of new software tools.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

• Commerce graduate/CA/CWA-Inter with reputed university.

• 8+ years of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk

Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the

following: work experience, training, Education.

• People leadership and Subject Matter Expertise is a must with proven track record of thought

leadership and an appetite for process transformation.
