Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kozhikode for a Senior Student Adviser (Study Abroad). The Senior Student Adviser will guide prospective students through the entire study-abroad journey, from initial inquiry to enrollment, including course and university selection, application timelines, and documentation requirements. Responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, organizing information sessions or webinars, and maintaining regular, clear communication with students and families. The role involves collaborating with internal teams and international education partners, staying updated on admission criteria, visa regulations, and scholarship options for multiple study destinations. The adviser will also be expected to maintain accurate records in CRM or similar systems, meet counseling and conversion targets, and contribute to continuous improvement of counseling processes and student experience.
Qualifications
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build trust, actively listen, and convey complex information clearly to students and families.
- Proven experience in Student Counseling and Education advisory, preferably within study-abroad or higher education counseling environments.
- Customer Service orientation with a focus on responsiveness, empathy, and maintaining a professional, student-centered approach.
- Ability to manage multiple student cases, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records using digital tools or CRM systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, International Relations, or a related field; a master's degree is an advantage.
- Up-to-date understanding of international higher education systems, admission processes, and visa requirements for major study destinations.
- Comfort with presentations, workshops, and outreach activities (in-person and online) to engage students and institutional partners.
- Prior experience in study-abroad consultancy or international student recruitment is highly desirable.
