Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with 6-12 years of experience to join our Power team. The ideal candidate will be a highly capable professional with a background in civil or structural engineering who can apply their expertise to complex design projects. This role requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills, as you will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and mentoring a team to deliver high-quality, on-schedule projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Structural Design & Analysis: Perform and check complex calculations and designs using both computer-aided and manual techniques. You'll be responsible for the design of equipment foundations (both static and dynamic) and structural steel for pipe racks and other power plant structures.
  • Project Management: Develop the scope of work, conceptual design, and execution plans for projects. You'll also prepare engineering cost and person-hour estimates and schedules, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to less experienced staff members. You will coordinate project design assignments and oversee the design teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Interpret and develop solutions to complex problems, devising new approaches when necessary. You'll use your intensive knowledge of structural principles to handle a broad range of assignments.
  • Travel: Be willing to travel to the United States as required to support project assignments and overall office needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Experience: A minimum of 6-12 years of related experience. Previous consulting engineering experience in the power industry is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in software such as RISA-3D, RISA Foundation, Ram Connection, STAAD.Pro, Navisworks, and/or Smart Plant Review.
  • Personal Attributes: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. You must be able to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
