About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural engineering activities for Marine, Offshore, and Oil & Gas projects. The role involves technical leadership, advanced structural analysis, project ownership, and ensuring engineering excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead offshore structural design for jackets, topsides, FPSOs, and subsea systems
- Perform and approve ULS, FLS, ALS, and non-linear structural analyses
- Execute analysis using STAAD Pro, SACS, SESAM, ANSYS, or equivalent tools
- Manage engineering packages ensuring schedule, cost, and quality compliance
- Approve engineering designs, calculations, and technical decisions
- Develop structural methodologies and engineering strategies
- Support lifting, load-out, transportation, and installation analysis
- Ensure compliance with API, ISO, DNV, and AISC standards
- Review and approve technical deviations
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities
- Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering
- Mentor engineers and strengthen team capability
- Improve engineering processes, standards, and documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Mechanical, Marine, or Civil Engineering
- 10–15+ years of experience in Offshore / Marine / Oil & Gas projects
- Expert proficiency in STAAD Pro (Mandatory)
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (Mandatory)
- Experience in SACS, SESAM, ANSYS, or equivalent analysis tools
- Proven offshore structural design and project leadership experience
Preferred Skills
- EPC offshore project experience
- Knowledge of fabrication and installation practices
- Expertise in fatigue and non-linear analysis
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
