Plan, co-ordinate, manage & monitor the engineering designs and drawings related to Hydropower projects components such as Powerhouse, Intake & Outlet Structures, Water Tunnels, etc.
Design of powerhouse structures, involving turbine foundations, substructure, superstructure, Control Block and Gantry Beam.
Lead design review including interfaces with Electromechanical Contractor.
Preparing Design Calculations taking into account the different construction stages of Powerhouse.
Responsible for producing a compliant, constructible design in accordance with requirements of Client, Operation, Maintenance and Construction.
Making recommendations, identify alternative solutions and optimization opportunities that could impact the design and site operations, based on the strategy determined.
Preparation of the monthly activity reports.
Prepare Design Basis Reports (DBR), calculation notes, GA and RC detailing drawings.
Responsible for the relevant multi-disciplinary engineering coordination.
Ensure fluid communication between the project management team, design team, construction team and the various internal and external stakeholders.
Strong liaison with Clients/PMC and actively responds to technical queries to ensure timely approval.
Coordination with the designer/ Consultant, monitoring the design progress and ensure the timely delivery of design documents & drawings.
Liaison with the project site team to agree on engineering solutions for further design development.
Participate in project review meetings and project milestone meetings.
Participate & lead tender preparation within defined deadlines, understanding customer requirements, identifying risks and presenting work to the higher management.
Continuous review and improvement of the overall program strategy.
Ensure that the design produced follow appropriate engineering processes and in line with the Clients Core Values and in accordance with their Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedure.
Actively supervising the engineering tasks; providing guidance & mentoring to the team and nurturing their talent.
Excellent time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met.
