About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer – Concrete to join our Structures & Bridges team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the analysis and design of reinforced concrete structures across large-scale infrastructure and building projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, proficiency in industry-standard software, and the ability to lead design teams while coordinating with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete structures such as high-rise buildings, stadiums, airports, malls, culverts, tanks, and other complex structures.
- Develop structural design solutions in compliance with international codes and standards.
- Assess loads, load paths, and structural behavior under gravity, wind, and seismic loading conditions.
- Prepare design calculations, technical reports, design criteria reports, presentations, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with architectural, MEP, transportation, and other disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Review and validate structural drawings, shop drawings, and construction documentation.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and support project estimation activities.
- Participate in third-party design reviews and address review comments effectively.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Support quality assurance and quality control procedures throughout project execution.
- Develop Excel tools, spreadsheets, or automation scripts to improve engineering workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve structural engineering challenges during design and construction phases.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and implementation to meet project requirements and deadlines.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of core experience in the analysis and design of reinforced concrete structures.
- Strong understanding of structural analysis, load paths, wind engineering, and seismic design principles.
- Experience working with international design codes and standards.
- Proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, and SAP2000.
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
- Excellent technical report writing and presentation skills.
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple project deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Structural Engineering from a reputed institute, preferably through GATE qualification.
- Specialization in Earthquake Engineering, Structural Dynamics, or Finite Element Methods (FEM).
- Experience working on international and Middle East/Gulf projects.
- Knowledge of post-tensioned concrete design and software such as RAM Concept.
- Exposure to Rhino, Grasshopper, Python, or other computational design tools.
