Job Description: Structure Design Engineer

ReportingTo: Living Appliance R&D Head

Qualification: M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical/Design

Area of Expertise:

Research and develop for new products (Home Appliance), Technologies, Processes and the systems used to make them. Work to improve the performance and efficiency of existing products. Provide support to the new business and team to ensure that all aspects of Design are created to fully meet the high specifications set. Responsible for ensuring the success of design from inception through to delivery for manufacturing, using innovative engineering skills to ensure seamless integration.

Skills & Experience:

§ A sound Knowledge of Unigraphics NX or any other CAD software for technical drawings and 3D Modeling.

§ Experience in designing complicated parts, mechanisms and assemblies for manufacture utilizing parametric solid modeling.

§ Good Knowledge of plastics and sheet metal component design and development will be preferable

§ Undertake model making, prototyping and product testing

§ Investigate and undertake analysis on how to improve existing products or sub-systems.

§ Knowledge on GD&T, Materials and Manufacturing process will be preferable.

§ Basics of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and making DRBFM will be preferred.

§ Should be able to communicate effectively with Higher management and colleagues involved in a project

§ Experience in FEA & DOE will be additional advantage.

§ Should have creative thinking & problem solving capability with effective planning to ensure projects are delivered on time.

§ Ability to be self-motivated and manage several projects at one time

§ Should be willing to travel outside India for short and long duration while working on Global projects.
