Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer with expertise in STAAD.Pro for structural analysis, load calculations, and wind flow analysis of both Mild Steel (MS) and Aluminium structures. The candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing structural systems to ensure safety, stability, and compliance with applicable standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design of MS and Aluminium structures using STAAD.Pro.
- Conduct structural load calculations including:
- Dead Loads (DL)
- Live Loads (LL)
- Wind Loads (WL)
- Seismic Loads (SL), where applicable
- Equipment and Special Loads
- Carry out wind flow and wind pressure analysis as per relevant codes and project requirements.
- Design and validate structural members, connections, foundations, and support systems.
- Prepare design calculations, engineering reports, and technical documentation.
- Develop and review structural drawings and fabrication details in coordination with drafting teams.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable standards such as IS Codes, AISC, ASCE, Eurocodes, and client specifications.
- Optimize structural designs for cost efficiency, manufacturability, and safety.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, fabrication teams, and site engineers during project execution.
- Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning stages.
- Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and risk assessments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong proficiency in STAAD.Pro for structural modeling and analysis.
- Experience in design of Steel (MS) and Aluminium structures.
- Knowledge of wind load analysis and structural optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with IS 800, IS 875, IS 1893, MBMA, AISC, and relevant Aluminium design standards.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
