The mission of our team is to build the plumbing in the cloud infrastructure that makes the cloud services deployment simple and fast. For the cloud team it also includes aspects of large-scale system design, networking, security, configuration and automatic VM orchestration and many more areas. As a Ruckus Senior Staff Engineer for Network Automation, you will be responsible for using programming and automation tools to streamline and automate the management, configuration and deployment of network infrastructure. The role requires hands-on development and possess strong knowledge on Cloud Networking.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate 10+ years of experience in network automation and software engineering discipline.
- Develop scripts and playbooks to automate cloud network configuration, deployment and monitoring.
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of Cloud networking technologies like Load Balancer, NAT, VPC, Service mesh, etc.
- Use tools like Terraform or Ansible to manage and provision network resources in an automated, code-based way.
- Build automation solutions that adhere to organizational security policies and industry best practices.
- Implement monitoring and reporting, troubleshoot issues in automated environments , focusing on Root cause analysis.
- Work closely with development, operations and other teams to align infrastructure capacity with application needs.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Proven strong academic performer
- Fluency in programming languages such as Python, Golang and automation scripting using Shell Scripts.
- Strong Fluency in Linux environment is a must
- Strong knowledge on Cloud networking concepts like TCP/IP, Service mesh(Istio, linkerd), Load Balancing, Cloud NAT, etc.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure management and automation.
- Strong knowledge on APM tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
- Possess proficiency with hyperscaler platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Azure (GCP experience is a plus)
