We're a UK-based start-up on a mission to make the national lottery more affordable, social and fun. We are backed by ex-Meta / Google founding team. Early, fast-moving, and aiming to build something category-defining. We've already built the MVP. Now we need someone exceptional to rebuild / improve and scale it properly.
(This role is equity-only. No salary is offered)
What this role really is
- Own architecture end-to-end
- Take MVP → scalable, production-grade system
- Build core systems (payments, wallets, subscriptions, group logic)
- Lead a small team of strong engineers
- Stay hands-on across backend + frontend
What we're looking for
- Degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Maths / Physics (or equivalent) from top 5 Indian universities
- Strong communication (able to explain things clearly and succinctly)
- Architecture design skills (MUST HAVE)
- 7-10 years of experience in a product company (ideally fintech / e-commerce)
- 10+ years of experience with scalable, reliable systems
- Experience with payments / billing / subscriptions (highly desirable)
- Full-stack capability (Node.js + React)
- DevOps experience (CI/CD, deployment, infra thinking)
- Operates at Staff / Principal level
