Senior Staff SDET Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Automation Architecture & Tooling Development

• Architect, design, and scale shared test automation frameworks, utilities, and benchmarking tools that serve multiple teams.
• Build internal platforms to improve developer productivity, CI/CD efficiency, and release validation.
• Leverage AI-driven solutions to accelerate testing workflows, improve coverage insights, and enable predictive quality analytics.

Quality Strategy & Governance

• Define and evolve organization-wide testability, release readiness, and quality assurance strategies.
• Establish white-box testing, performance validation, and reliability testing standards for data-intensive systems.
• Drive cross-team initiatives focused on observability, feedback loops, and continuous improvement.

Leadership & Mentorship

• Act as a quality thought leader across engineering — mentoring teams, conducting architecture reviews, and embedding testability into design.
• Partner with engineering and product leaders to align testing priorities with platform evolution and business goals.
• Cultivate a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous quality innovation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with DevOps, Platform, and Product teams to enhance automation, deployment speed, and system resilience.
• Identify systemic risks in critical systems and lead efforts to build preventive validation mechanisms.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps and OKRs focused on scaling quality across Fivetran's ecosystem.
