Senior SQL Consultant — Production SQL Owner

Role Overview

• We are looking for a highly reliable Senior SQL Consultant to serve as the primary Production SQL Owner for our healthcare SaaS platform.

• This is a hands-on role requiring strong expertise in stored procedures, production troubleshooting, and performance optimization in a live transactional environment.

• This is a dedicated contractor role focused on long-term ownership of production SQL operations and serving as a trusted escalation point. Key Responsibilities

• Own the reliability, correctness, and performance of production SQL and stored procedures

• Serve as the primary SQL owner and escalation point during US business hours

• Design, maintain, debug, and optimize complex stored procedures used in critical workflows

• Ensure safe execution of production changes with strong focus on data integrity and auditability

• Diagnose and resolve production SQL and data issues in a live transactional environment

• Perform controlled, well-documented data fixes and investigate data discrepancies

• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize queries, execution plans, and indexing

• Support incident response and ensure timely, stable resolution of production issues

• Collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to maintain system reliability Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on SQL experience

Strong production support experience

• Experience working in live production environments

• Proven experience performing safe data fixes

• Experience debugging complex data issues

• Strong performance tuning skills

• Experience working in US shift or global support environment
