Role Overview

Senior hands-on Platform Engineer responsible for building shared services, cloud-native foundations, and driving architecture, quality, and engineering standards across Cargo teams.

Key Responsibilities

Platform & Shared Services

• Build reusable platform services, libraries, and frameworks.
• Own solutions from design to production.

Cloud & Infrastructure Foundations

• Develop AWS-based cloud platforms and IaC solutions.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and observability.

Architecture & Technical Execution

• Drive architecture decisions and technical standards.
• Address technical debt and scalability risks.

Hands-On Engineering & Quality

• Build, review, and maintain production systems.
• Support CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Required Experience

• 12-16 years in software engineering.
• 10+ years in .NET, 6+ years in .NET Core.
• 5+ years in AWS, React, Docker/K8s ecosystem.
• 8+ years in RDBMS.
• 1+ year with AIDLC and AI coding tools.
• Experience owning end-to-end cloud architecture.
• Currently in Architect, Principal Engineer, or Senior IC roles.

Must-Have Technical Skills

• .NET/.NET Core, AWS, Microservices, REST APIs.
• Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
• SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean architecture.
• Database design and performance optimization.

Preferred Skills

• C++
