ROLE PURPOSE

Project Operations Leader is a high value add role. This will be a highly influencing, innovative and analytical role.

Unique opportunity to work with the Tech leaders of Quest Global on project management skills as you will be the SPOC between the delivery and various other functions.

An opportunity that provides an individual to demonstrate his / her capability, leadership skills and help the organization deliver great financial results on time. We are looking for an extremely motivated and inspired individual who is having a keen interest in leveraging one's experience to the benefit of the delivery team.

The individual is expected to have command over one's communication skills may it be reporting, stakeholder management, influencing without authority.

The individual shall carry the following responsibilities under various heads -

Governance of Projects and Programs.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Operating within a position of key business importance, the Project Operations Leader will be expected to carry out the following:

  • Drive financial discipline within the Delivery Organization bringing controls on RAR, UBR, Provisions. Assist them in any clarifications they may require
  • Provide knowledge to the delivery team in potential areas where they could reduce UBR provisions and potential provisions eliminating risks
  • Assist the Service Line Managers in PM activities (if any) across the project lifecycle
  • Maintain project hygiene with project closure initiations through delivery
  • Provide delivery support to bring up their financial compliance
  • Work with the PMO-PC (Project Controllers) in assisting project creation, financial task creation, bill rate assignment, resource management and timesheet reconciliation in PM Systems for designated Verticals
  • Drive project financial hygiene such as revenue at risk, unearned revenue, unbilled revenue, On Time Invoicing (OTI) minimizing write offs
  • Support / Execute Other financial practices such as effort movements
  • Responsible for maintaining effective and value enhancing project control processes across the area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for Enabling & Assisting the overall monitoring and reporting of project performance
  • Represent PM Hygiene in various Forums and other scheduled meetings to drive financial compliance
  • Own by results and drive by actions, the project financial activities globally and work with necessary departments like Revenue Team, Invoicing team and any other department resolving Delivery pain points
  • Maintain rhythms on emails, communication, reminders with financial disclosures as necessary
  • Work on improvement plans for driving rigor across the delivery teams and come up with improvement action plan and implementation plan on systems and process
  • Assist VBU, Vertical leaders on their requirements

Experience & Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Good Networking skills & connected well with Delivery
  • Strong Business Finance knowledge
  • Conversant with Quest Project Life cycle & working through Project Management System
  • Should have a fair understanding of all Project type & Contract type (T&M, FFP, UFP and FMB)
  • Project Management Experience at Quest will be an advantage
  • Fair understanding of the system interfaces – Oracle & other tools
  • Ability to influence – get things done without authority
  • Business acumen and commercial awareness
