You will join OCTO - Business Operations (MI Technology), partnering with portfolio leaders, engineering, finance, procurement, and enablement teams. Our mission is to provide clarity, accountability, and efficiency across the technology investment and vendor ecosystem.

The Impact:

We are hiring a Senior Specialist who combines vendor management expertise with strategic operational capabilities. This role will drive vendor engagement strategies, manage onboarding and compliance processes, optimize vendor performance, and design governance frameworks that enable visibility, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement across MI Technology's vendor landscape.

You will operate at the intersection of vendor lifecycle management and business operations, ensuring smooth onboarding, contract adherence, and performance tracking. This is an individual contributor role with high visibility and potential to evolve into a leadership position as the function scales.

Responsibilities and Impact:

Vendor Management & Operations

  • Manage end-to-end vendor lifecycle, including onboarding, compliance checks, and performance reviews.
  • Coordinate contract renewals, amendments, and adherence to procurement policies.
  • Maintain vendor scorecards and dashboards to track KPIs, SLAs, and risk indicators.
  • Operate structured feedback loops with internal stakeholders and vendors to drive improvements.
  • Ensure alignment of vendor deliverables with business priorities and technology roadmaps.

Operational Excellence & Governance

  • Define and maintain standards for vendor data accuracy and timely updates in systems.
  • Establish and enforce governance policies for vendor engagement and compliance monitoring.
  • Deliver integrated dashboards for leadership insights on vendor performance, spend, and risk.
  • Run governance forums, maintain decision logs, and ensure adherence to operating rhythms.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, process refinement, and stakeholder engagement.

Change Management & Enablement

  • Lead change management for new vendor processes and tools, ensuring smooth transitions and sustained adoption.
  • Build and maintain a community of practice to drive standards and best practices in vendor management.

What We're Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years in vendor management, procurement operations, or business operations within a technology environment.
  • Strong understanding of vendor lifecycle management, compliance, and risk management principles.
  • Proven ability to manage vendor scorecards, performance reviews, and governance forums.
  • Experience with procurement management systems such as Ariba (or similar) and exposure to contract lifecycle management tools.
  • Knowledge of best practices for managing contractor workforce, including SOWs, MSAs, and contract renewals.
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools (Power BI preferred) and vendor management systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Exposure to AI-based tools such as Copilot and Spark, with practical usage in day-to-day work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with procurement platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba) and Contract Lifecycle Management tools.
  • Certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, CPSM/CIPS, and strong vendor risk/compliance expertise.
  • Proficiency in analytics (Power BI), automation, and continuous improvement practices.
