Job Description

Overview:

We're seeking a meticulous and editorially skilled Senior Specialist Exam Development to

support the development and quality assurance of high-stakes certification exam content. In this

role, you will ensure that all test items and related content meet The IIA's editorial, stylistic, and

psychometric standards. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs),

psychometricians, and content committees to shape and refine assessment materials, maintain

item banks, and support item lifecycle management. The ideal candidate will have strong editing

skills, a keen eye for detail, and experience working within an assessment or educational

publishing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the development, editing, and quality assurance of exam items, study guides,

candidate handbooks, and related assessment materials.

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including subject matter experts (SMEs),

psychometricians, test developers, test operations, and both internal and external partners.

Manage the item bank across its full lifecycle, ensuring item quality, security, accessibility, and

ongoing usability through regular audits and maintenance.

Supervise the publication of exam content, ensuring adherence to accessibility standards,

security protocols, and delivery requirements.

Lead and mentor a team of test developers, editors, and publishing professionals to ensure

efficient, high-quality workflows and timely deliverables.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives by standardizing processes, enhancing

documentation, and leveraging automation to support operational excellence.

Coordinate and support exam committee meetings in Asia, as needed, including content

review facilitation.

Ensure strict content confidentiality through comprehensive security protocols, and maintain

compliance with all legal, ethical, and accreditation requirements.

Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align goals, manage

expectations, and ensure seamless collaboration.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree required; a postgraduate degree is preferred.

Professional Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in exam/assessment content management, certifications, or

related fields.

Hands on experience with content development workflow, item banking systems and quality

assurance.

Familiarity with exam security protocols and global testing standards.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in item bank management software and Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Excellent command of MS Office Suite with experience in advance Excel.

Interpersonal Skills:

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Skilled in fostering collaboration and managing stakeholder relationships.
