Key Responsibilities
E-Fuels will lead Invest India's engagement with the emerging e-fuels ecosystem, including e-methanol, e-ammonia, sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), synthetic fuels, and other Power-to-X solutions. The role will focus on investor outreach, strategic partnerships, policy advocacy, ecosystem development, and facilitation of domestic and foreign investments in the sector. The incumbent will work closely with central government stakeholders, industry leaders, investors, technology providers, and international partners to position India as a leading destination for e-fuels manufacturing and deployment.
- Serve as Invest India's subject matter expert on e-fuels, including e-methanol, e-ammonia, sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), and other emerging Power-to-X technologies.
- Lead business development efforts to identify, engage, and convert domestic and international investors into investment opportunities for India.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of investment projects and proactively originate new opportunities across the e-fuels value chain.
- Facilitate end-to-end investor engagement, including market entry support, stakeholder coordination, issue resolution, and project implementation.
- Develop sector strategies, investment propositions, market intelligence reports, and policy briefs to promote investments in the e-fuels ecosystem.
- Engage with central and state government departments, industry associations, technology providers, and financial institutions to strengthen the sector ecosystem.
- Track global industry trends, technology developments, policy frameworks, and investment movements to identify emerging opportunities for India.
- Represent Invest India at industry forums, conferences, investor meetings, and strategic stakeholder engagements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive investment promotion initiatives and support high-priority projects.
- Lead projects and provide mentorship to team members while ensuring timely achievement of sectoral and organisational objectives
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Business Administration, Economics, or related disciplines.
- 15 years of relevant experience in energy, clean fuels, chemicals, consulting or related sectors.
- Strong understanding of green hydrogen, e-fuels, renewable energy, carbon management, and industrial decarbonisation pathways.
- Experience in stakeholder management involving government agencies, investors, and industry leaders.
- Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives and manage complex multi-stakeholder projects.
- Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong project management and team leadership capabilities.
- Experience in policy advisory, business development, consulting, or investment facilitation will be preferred
- Familiarity with global energy transition trends and international clean fuel markets is desirable.
