Job Summary

The Pega Lead System Architect LSA is certified in the latest version of Pega and boasts expert knowledge in its architecture design and implementation Adept in every phase of software development they are proficient in technologies spanning from Application Servers and programming languages to diverse databases and integration techniques Additionally the LSA has handson familiarity with the Pega Customer Service Framework and staunchly follows Pega best practices guiding others to ensure exemplary delivery The LSA will be the principal Pega Subject Matter Expert SME and contribute to the leadership of cross functional team of Pega and backend engineers They are entrusted with designing and rolling out Pega applications in line with enterprise standards and overseeing the prompt superiorquality delivery from their developer contingent In collaboration with a range of stakeholders including

business analysts and project managers the LSA ensures that the solutions crafted by their team resonate with business goals As a foundational member of the Pega Development Team the LSA plays a pivotal role in laying the groundwork for sustained success This involves contributing to shaping the team and skillfully navigating the complex Pega requirements and challenges within the Business Unit which is adopting a Pega solution for the fi rst time They champion knowledge dissemination stay abreast of Pega technological advances and guarantee the longevity of their solutions They will also engage with Booking stakeholders specifi cally Customer Support Operations and Product across the various domains within Booking and collaborate with geographically diverse Booking stakeholders and platforms to ensure the success of Pega in CSTech The LSA is tasked with upholding high quality wellregulated Pega applications and works in tandem with other delivery units to drive quality industry best practices and innovative solutions

Key Responsibilities

Maintain advanced knowledge of the Pega architecture and all Pega design and implementation practices

Maintain advanced knowledge about the latest features and tools provided by the Pega platform

Continuously enhance skill set and knowledge to leverage latest trends techniques and practices and drive proactive change

Provide thought and technical leadership to team members while working with various senior stakeholders to solve complex problems and business requirements

Advocate for the adoption of a reusable components strategy in terms of enterprise solutions seeking to determine and develop repeatable effi cient and optimal ways of implementing Pega

Act as a mentor to all team members of the CS Platforms Support team with particular focus on the Pega Certifi ed Senior System Architects infl uencing them in design and developing best practices

Mentor and monitor the practices applied and quality of team deliverables

Can demonstrate innate troubleshooting skills when faced with complex problems working systematically to resolve critical incidents in collaboration with the team in a timely fashion

Understand value and consistently provide timely specifi c and constructive feedback to team members and stakeholders regarding Pega practices and solutions

Provide direction and coaching to team members in using the latest Pega studios and tools

Enable the growth of Pega Citizen Development by providing internal training upskilling and guidance

Lead simplistic designs that leverage OotB components and lowcode options

Work with the internal Pega PGC a COE function and Bookingcom Architecture groups to defi ne and refi ne Pega best practices and provide leadership to the team in the adoption of prescriptive development processes

Consistently design optimal solutions without unnecessary complexity and defi ne a service oriented architecture

Work closely with the Product team and provide feedback regarding product enhancements needed to support the BUs or organizations needs

Work closely with the internal IT Engineering and Architecture teams to understand hardware requirements network landscape server topology and integration needs

Demonstrate leadership ability to back decisions with research and infl uence stakeholders accordingly

Demonstrate mindfulness of when to integrate with other products versus using Pega E2E and present the best architecture to meet desired needs

Level of EducationBachelor degree

Years of relevant Job KnowledgeAdvanced Knowledge 8 years

Requirements Of Special Knowledgeskills

Expert knowledge of Pegasystems and Pega Customer Service apps in particular

Working experience with Pega constellation or DX API

In possession of valid Pega Lead System Architect certification

Degree in Computer Science

Information Technology or related fi eld

Expertise in all phases of software development

Expertise in application servers p
