Job Summary:
Protekz is seeking a skilled Spark EDM Senior Operator to join our team and play a vital role in our precision machining operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of EDM processes, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while adhering to strict quality standards.
Job Description:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and 2D CAD files to accurately extract dimensional data.
- Clearly understand the operational sequence for each job and identify the appropriate electrodes.
- De-burr electrodes with meticulous care to maintain profile integrity.
- Set up jobs and electrodes to an accuracy of 0.01 mm.
- Utilize a sine table for machining parts with angled features.
- Independently program and operate CNC EDM or EDM machines.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using various measuring instruments to achieve an accuracy of 0.01 mm.
- Consistently produce parts within a tolerance of +/- 0.02 mm.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Work effectively in a rotating shift environment.
- Uphold company rules and policies.
Qualification:
- ITI or Diploma in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Making).
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with Spark EDM Machine.
- Strong understanding of EDM machining principles and practices.
- Proven experience working in a tool room environment with EDM machines.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 2D CAD files.
- Proficiency in using various measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Effective communication skills.
