Our company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join as a Sourcing Senior Engineer on the TechOps, Supply Chain team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the strategic sourcing and supplier management processes, including bid development and analysis, contract negotiations, PO and contract management, and supplier support.

The Sourcing Senior Engineer must work efficiently and communicate effectively when working with suppliers to ensure contracts quickly move through sourcing process; validating that contract pricing, entitlements, and performance requirements are correct in agreements and are captured within the Delta system; and that process documentation and contract summaries flow to the business unit stakeholders after contract execution. The Sourcing Senior Engineer will work closely with multiple team members within the TechOps Supply Chain team and internal stakeholders to support critical operational requirements and must have proven experience working collaboratively to meet demanding timelines and drive internal process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing Analytics: Prepares data comparisons to establish cost impact of sourcing options as part of the strategic sourcing process and works with sourcing managers to support award recommendations based on the data analysis and other commercial considerations. Requires close collaboration with Sourcing Managers to understand unique requirements and nuances of individual sourcing categories.

− Support RFP development and analysis, Total cost of ownership (TCO) modeling, PMA and OOPP quote analysis

− Analyze spend and contract data to identify potential cost savings opportunities

  • Contract Negotiations: Negotiate and execute a range of agreements, including NDAs, license agreements, contract renewals, and amendments
  • Collaborate with Business Units, Sourcing Managers, and Delta Legal to ensure terms and conditions align with Delta standards and business objectives
  • PO and Contract Management: Responsible for end-to-end contract management support, including routing contract approvals, developing and maintaining Outline Agreements (OA's) and Purchase Order (PO)
  • Manage catalog pricing reviews and contract escalation validations to ensure alignment with contract terms and accurate updates are reflected in Delta's pricing systems
  • Manage the contract implementation process with business partners to ensure contract compliance and value capture via contract summaries
  • Supplier Support: Facilitate supplier setup and update requests within APEX, work with business units and suppliers to provide ad-hoc operational support
  • Provide as-needed support to operational business units for supplier performance related issues, including AOG (operationally critical) and chronically late deliveries
  • Facilitate supplier setup and maintenance requests within APEX, including validation of supplier profile changes (e.g., banking, address) and approval management
  • Work with business units and suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies and late payment issues

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 6-10 years of experience in sourcing including contract negotiations, and data analytics, preferably in Supply Chain settings, Finance, or related fields
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, or other related fields; an MBA is a plus
  • Experience with the strategic sourcing process and reading, interpreting, and negotiating contracts
  • The ability to problem solve through the use of critical thinking skills and effectively multi-task and re-prioritize in a fluid and demanding environment
  • A demonstrated ability to build relationships and think strategically which includes skills in communication, project management, negotiations, consensus building, presentation, and leading meetings
  • A demonstrated ability to lead projects and manage cross departmental projects and stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
