Senior AWS Solutions Architect
Pre-Sales Solutioning & Delivery Enablement

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior AWS Solutions Architect to join our cloud practice in Kochi. This is a customer-facing, solutioning-focused role that sits at the intersection of pre-sales and delivery. You will work alongside the AWS field team to identify where AWS can add value for our customers, shape technical solutions, and translate business needs into practical, well-architected proposals.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist with a strong development background who has moved deeper into the AWS stack, with particular strength in AWS AI services and agent-based solutions. You will not only design solutions but also help validate effort estimates and ensure a smooth handover to the delivery teams who build them.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Customer Solutioning
- Partner with the AWS account and field teams to identify opportunities and areas where AWS services can solve customer problems.
- Lead technical discovery conversations with customers, understand their business and technical challenges, and map them to AWS solutions.
- Design and present solution architectures, proofs of concept, and technical proposals that are secure, scalable, and cost-aware.
- Communicate the value of proposed solutions clearly to both technical and business stakeholders, including senior decision makers.
- Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and technical questionnaires, and support commercial discussions with well-reasoned technical inputs.
AI Services & Agent Development
- Design and build agent-based solutions on AWS, using services such as Amazon Bedrock, Bedrock Agents, and Amazon Q, with hands-on experience across the agent lifecycle.
- Apply AWS AI and machine learning services (for example Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker AI, Amazon Textract, Comprehend, Transcribe, and Rekognition) to real customer use cases.
- Develop working prototypes and demos that showcase generative AI and agentic capabilities to customers.
- Stay current with the rapidly evolving AWS AI and generative AI landscape and advise customers on suitable, practical approaches.
Data Solutions
- Bring a working understanding of the AWS data landscape, including storage, databases, analytics, and data pipelines (for example Amazon S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift, Glue, and Athena).
- Advise on how data solutions underpin AI workloads and factor data readiness into overall solution design.
Application Development & Engineering
- Draw on solid software development and application-building experience to design solutions that are realistic to build and maintain.
- Guide the design of applications on AWS using serverless and container services (for example Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, EKS) and modern integration patterns.
- Contribute to reusable assets, reference architectures, and accelerators that speed up future engagements.
Delivery Collaboration & Handover
- Work closely with the delivery teams to review and validate effort estimates against the proposed scope.
- Ensure a clean, well-documented handover from pre-sales to delivery so that what was sold matches what gets built.
- Stay engaged through early delivery phases to clarify solution intent and resolve architectural questions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: 8 to 12 years of overall experience, with a strong software development or engineering foundation and clear depth in the AWS stack.
- AI & agents: Demonstrable, hands-on experience building AI agents and generative AI solutions on AWS (Amazon Bedrock, Bedrock Agents, Amazon Q, or equivalent).
- AWS AI services: Strong knowledge of AWS AI and ML services and how to apply them to business problems.
- Data solutions: Working understanding of AWS data services and how data supports AI and analytics workloads.
- Development: Proven experience building and maintaining applications, ideally with cloud-native and serverless patterns on AWS.
- Pre-sales: Experience in a customer-facing or pre-sales capacity, comfortable leading technical discussions and presenting to customers.
- Delivery: Ability to review estimates, define scope, and collaborate effectively with delivery teams.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical ideas simply to varied audiences.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional), or an AWS AI/ML specialty certification.
- Experience working directly with an AWS partner team or within the AWS Partner Network (APN).
- Exposure to well-architected reviews, cost optimization, and security best practices on AWS.
- Experience mentoring engineers or guiding delivery teams on AWS solution design.

Location
