Job Summary
The Integration Architecture Lead is responsible for defining, governing, and leading end-to-end enterprise integration architecture across multiple Insurance Lines of Business (LOBs). This role ensures seamless interoperability between core insurance platforms, finance systems, customer-facing applications, data ecosystems, and external partner services, under the strategic direction of Enterprise Architecture.
The role provides architectural leadership across agile delivery teams, engineering leads, vendors, and enterprise stakeholders, ensuring that all integration solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, resilient, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesIntegration Architecture & Strategy
- Define and drive enterprise-wide integration architecture for insurance platforms covering new business, underwriting, policy lifecycle, billing, collections, renewals, claims, and financial posting.
- Lead strategic integrations across GL/Finance systems, CRM, Payment Gateways, Fraud systems, Master Data Management (MDM), Input/Output Management (IOM), Document Management Systems (DMS), and Data Lakehouse platforms.
- Establish and govern API-first and event-driven integration patterns, ensuring consistency across internal platforms and external ecosystems.
Architecture Design & Governance
- Design and maintain integration blueprints, reference architectures, canonical data models, interface contracts, event models, sequence diagrams, and architectural decision records (ADR).
- Ensure integration solutions meet non-functional requirements including security, resilience, performance, scalability, observability, auditability, and regulatory compliance.
- Enforce architectural governance across programs, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards and best practices.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner closely with business, operations, security, risk, compliance, and enterprise architecture teams to ensure end-to-end alignment with business and regulatory goals.
- Guide engineering leads, development teams, and vendor partners to ensure correct implementation of integration patterns, coding standards, and architectural principles.
- Provide architectural oversight across multiple agile release trains / delivery teams.
Modernization & Innovation
- Lead integration modernization initiatives using microservices, APIs, streaming/event architectures, and cloud-native principles.
- Support adoption of cloud integration platforms and data ecosystems.
- Promote automation, observability, and DevOps-aligned integration practices.
Mandatory Skills (Must-Have)Experience & Domain
- 12–15+ years of experience in enterprise-scale integration architecture within large insurance or financial services organizations.
- Strong hands-on experience integrating core insurance platforms across policy, underwriting, claims, billing, customer, partner, and finance domains.
Integration Architecture
- Proven expertise in defining and governing enterprise-wide integration architectures.
- Strong experience with API-first, microservices-based, and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on design and implementation experience using:
- REST APIs
- JSON / XML
- Kafka / streaming platforms
Systems & Platforms
- Demonstrated experience integrating with:
- GL / Finance systems
- CRM platforms
- Payment Gateway solutions
- Fraud management systems
- Data platforms (AWS Data Lake / Lakehouse)

- Strong understanding of:

- Proven ability to operationalize architectural governance in a global enterprise environment.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Knowledge of Agentic architectures and MCP technologies.
- Experience with cloud services integration platforms.
- Exposure to GenAI tools (e.g., VS Code + AI) to improve:
- Architecture reviews

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven leadership capability working with engineering leads, solution architects, platform teams, and vendor partners.
