Job Description:
- The Senior Architect role is a strategic and technical leadership position within the Architecture Chapter of Group IT.
- The role is responsible for designing and delivering secure, resilient, and scalable banking solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards and business strategy.
- The architect works closely with the Head of Architecture and delivery leaders to build high-performance mobile banking applications integrated with microservices and API-driven ecosystems.
- Strong experience in banking domains such as payments, settlements, accounting, and digital/mobile banking is essential.
- From a technical standpoint, the role requires deep expertise in end-to-end solution design, cloud-native architectures, containerization, event-driven systems, APIs, and microservices.
- The architect must justify design patterns and architectural trade-offs while ensuring performance, reliability, and customer experience.
- A major emphasis is placed on cybersecurity.
- The candidate must understand regulatory compliance (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR, UAE Central Bank regulations), threat modeling, authentication, authorization, encryption, data protection, and security monitoring.
- Knowledge of how systems are attacked and defended is expected.
- The role also values awareness of emerging technologies such as AI, Generative AI, Large Language Models, RAG, vector databases, and AI agents.
- Behaviourally, the Senior Architect should demonstrate strong analytical thinking, stakeholder management, decision-making ability, mentoring capability, and a continuous learning mindset.
- The role contributes to business delivery, reusable architecture blueprints, peer reviews, and technical upskilling within the chapter.
