Overview
Independently develops, maintains, upgrades and executes, test cases and Automation Scripts for application products. Identifies product limitations. Works effectively within a team of technically strong engineers. Adheres to the schedules, standards and quality processes and procedures of the Organization.
Identifying product limitations, exploratory testing, ability to find defects that severely impact product functionality and usability are essential for this position.
He/She shall be responsible for training/mentoring the junior team members.
Responsibilities
1.1 Responsibilities :
- Set up test environment
- Develop high quality test cases against requirements/user stories
- Perform effective test case review against requirements/user stories
- Identification of regression test cases
- Develop performance test cases using tools
- Contribute to Test Strategy and Test Plan, and implement in respective area of work
- Execute assigned test runs and update results into Test Case management Tool Enter defect details in Defect Tracking Tool
- Help developers in reproducing complex/rare issues
- Ensure appropriate links between requirement ,test case and defects (traceability)
- Complete assigned tasks on-time and in accordance with the appropriate process.
- Participate in technical reviews to ensure product quality.
- Contribute to Test Case design
- Good knowledge of UML and ability to develop test cases based on use cases
- Regular status reports of testing activities.
- Continually update technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, reading manuals and accessing new applications
- Handle complex test automation and troubleshoot issues.
- Good in usage of software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools
- Train and mentor junior team members
1.2 Functional Skills
- Knowledge of Screening and Scanning technologies is a plus
- Exposure to Security Systems domain is a plus
1.3 Specific Knowledge And Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycles, Testing Life Cycle and testing Concepts
- Knowledge of Microsoft OS (Windows 10, Windows Server 2016 & above) and software practices
- Comprehend Test set-up.
- Experience in Manual Web testing and Performance testing
- Proficient in Java language as applied to test automation
- Good test automation experience with Microsoft Playwright
- Experience in Usage of Test NG framework
- Experience in writing basic SQL queries is required
- Experience with Agile software development methodology is required
- Working knowledge of MS-Word and MS-Excel is required
- Knowledge on API Testing and Docker is a plus
- Testing experience on Android , iOS platforms is a plus
- Experience with Performance Testing Tools such as LoadRunner is a plus

Qualifications
- B.E/B.Tech in the disciplines of EEE/ECE/CSE or MCA degree or equivalent experience.
- Required at least 6 years of Software testing experience in a product based company using several of the skills and technologies mentioned below .
