Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct both manual and automated software testing to ensure high-quality work.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using JavaScript (currently working with).
- Perform UI testing with Cypress (currently working with) to ensure application functionality meets requirements.
- Perform database testing to ensure proper data integrity, database functionality, and performance.
- Conduct thorough REST API testing, validating the functionality, security, and performance of APIs.
- Supply to and ensure the smooth implementation of CI/CD pipelines and automation integration in the testing process.
- Report and document test results, defects, and any issues found during testing in a detailed and organized manner.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams including developers and business collaborators to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Identify areas for process improvement and supply to the enhancement of testing strategies and methodologies.
- Provide clear, concise, and effective communication on testing progress, challenges, and outcomes to team members and collaborators.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of professional experience in both manual and automated testing.
- Good experience with JavaScript (currently working in your role).
- Hands-on experience with Cypress for UI testing (currently working with).
- Solid experience in database testing (SQL queries, validation, performance testing, etc.).
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in REST API testing (tools like Postman, RestAssured, etc.).
- Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.).
- Superb communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively articulate technical concepts and issues to team members and collaborators.
- A proactive mindset and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and environments.
- Experience with additional test automation tools or frameworks is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and testing in cloud environments is an advantage
