Senior Software Technologist - AI

From bedside and transport monitors to centralized systems, HPM helps clinicians identify at-risk patients and intervene quickly. The position is based in Bangalore, a key hub supporting innovation and collaboration across Philips.

We are looking for a Senior Software Technologist u2013 AI to join our Hospital Patient Monitoring (HPM) business. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, building, and scaling intelligent software solutions that power nextu2011generation patient monitoring systems.

You will work at the intersection of cloudu2011native software engineering, AI/GenAI, and secure medical technology, collaborating with global teams to deliver robust, scalable, and responsible AIu2011enabled solutions that directly impact patient care.

This is a handsu2011on technical role requiring strong coding, design thinking, and an endu2011tou2011end ownership mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloudu2011native software solutions with strong emphasis on quality, performance, and security

• Contribute handsu2011on across the full software lifecycle u2013 architecture, coding, reviews, testing, deployment, and monitoring

• Build and evolve AIu2011enabled capabilities, including applications leveraging Generative AI, LLMs, and prompt engineering

• Develop and expose robust APIs and backend services supporting distributed and microservicesu2011based architectures

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, enabling high levels of automation, reliability, and faster release cycles

• Collaborate effectively with global, crossu2011functional teams (engineering, architecture, product, quality, and security)

• Rapidly prototype and validate ideas, balancing speed with engineering excellence

• Ensure adherence to security, privacy, and Responsible AI principles, especially within regulated healthcare environments

• Take an endu2011tou2011end, systemsu2011level view of problem solving, balancing technical depth with business and user impact

• Continuously learn and apply emerging technologies, tools, and programming paradigms
