Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Quality Engineer with strong expertise in test automation and a solid understanding of the software testing lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Playwright automation, along with good exposure to Selenium and JavaScript. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure high-quality deliverables through effective UI, API, and database testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright
- Enhance and maintain existing automation frameworks using Selenium
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define test strategies
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing for web applications
- Execute UI testing to ensure application usability and performance
- Conduct API testing using Postman and/or Rest Assured
- Perform database validation using SQL queries
- Participate in all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Identify, log, track, and manage defects through resolution
- Continuously improve test coverage and automation efficiency
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience in Playwright automation
- Good experience with Selenium WebDriver
- Proficiency in JavaScript
- Solid understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Strong experience in UI testing and web application testing
- Good knowledge of SQL for database validation
- Experience in API testing using Postman and/or Rest Assured
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git
- Exposure to performance or security testing is a plus
