Quality Analyst (6–8 Years)
Role Purpose
The Quality Analyst is responsible for validating customer implementations of IAN products through functional, workflow, integration, and automated testing.
The role works closely with Business Analysts, Configurators, AI & Data Validation Specialists, and Lead QA to ensure solutions meet business requirements, quality standards, and release readiness criteria.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data based on business requirements, user stories, and solution specifications.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and regression test suites using Playwright or similar automation frameworks
- Perform functional, integration, workflow, regression, and end-to-end testing across IAN products and customer implementations.
- Validate configured workflows, business rules, forms, integrations, and customer-specific configurations.
- Execute UI, API, configuration, and data validation testing across development, test, and pre-production environments.
- Identify, document, track, and retest defects through resolution.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Configurators, and AI & Data Validation Specialists to validate business requirements, workflows, and data quality.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect triage, and business validation activities.
- Maintain test documentation, test evidence, and quality metrics.
- Support release validation, deployment verification, and post-go-live testing activities.
- Contribute to test automation coverage and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 6–8 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or implementation testing.
- Good experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain;
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar modern test automation frameworks.
- Experience creating, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts.
- Strong understanding of functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
- Experience testing workflow-driven or configurable enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or equivalent.
- Understanding JSON, REST APIs, and integration testing concepts.
- Familiarity with workflow automation and BPMN-based solutions such as Camunda, Flowable etc.
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar test and defect management tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Proven experience working with insurance carriers and clients across North America or Europe.
Desired Skills
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
- Experience with performance testing, API automation testing, or non-functional testing methodologies.
- Experience with intelligent document processing, AI-enabled solutions, or data validation testing.
- Demonstrated willingness to cross-skill across workflow automation, integrations, business rules, AI-enabled solutions, and related implementation technologies.
- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
