Scope of Role / Responsibilities:
As a key member of the Product QA division, you will ensure the scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of our SaaS applications by designing and executing performance tests, analyzing results, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement performance testing strategies tailored for SaaS environments.
- Develop and maintain test scripts using tools like JMeter, Locust.io, or Gatling.
- Conduct load, stress, and scalability tests to identify system bottlenecks.
- Monitor application performance using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, or Dynatrace.
- Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to development and operations teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate performance considerations into the development lifecycle.
- Document test plans, procedures, and findings comprehensively.
- Multi-task across products/projects while delivering on time.
- Act as a process gatekeeper to ensure QA standards are maintained and deviations are highlighted.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA engineers.
Required Qualifications:
- B.E/B.Tech in any relevant field.
- 47 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Hands-on experience with SaaS or cloud-based applications.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
- Experience with REST API automation and API/Microservices testing, including contract testing.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology.
Preferred / Good-to-Have Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CSTE, CSQA, or ISTQB (CT-PT).
- Hands-on experience with UI automation.
- Exposure to event-driven architectures and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Experience with monitoring and analytics tools such as Splunk, Snowflake, Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, or Dynatrace.
- Experience leveraging AI for test case generation or AI-driven testing.
- Familiarity with Jira, Zephyr, Postman.
- Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
