Senior Software Engineer – Yocto & Embedded Systems

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer Yocto & Embedded Systems

Experience: 6 to 10 years

Location: Pune

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for bug reports and issues related to software.
• Work in a sprint-based development environment, ensuring timely delivery of tasks.
• Maintain and manage Yocto open-source meta layers for the project.
• Develop and maintain basic unit tests for open-source components.
• Perform software flashing on hardware and conduct basic testing to ensure functionality.

Preferred Job Requirements

• Strong experience in Yocto, Bitbake, and open-source software maintenance.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming.
• Solid understanding of Linux environments and software development processes.
• Hands-on experience with advanced Git usage for version control.
• Strong debugging skills, including GDB, core dump analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Shell scripting is a plus.
• Experience contributing to Yocto upstream activities is an added advantage.
