Senior Software Engineer

VAST Data is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team.

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance C/C++ software
• Build and enhance core components of a large-scale distributed system
• Debug, optimize, and improve existing functionality
• Collaborate cross-functionally to meet product and business goals
• Participate in design discussions, testing, and code reviews

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
• Strong experience in C/C++ software development
• Solid understanding of the Linux operating system
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI layers) nice to have
• Knowledge of block storage or file systems nice to have
• Python scripting experience nice to have
