About The Job:

We are looking for a skilled ETL CP4D Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL processes. The role involves working closely with business teams to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target databases. The developer will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and scalability of ETL pipelines and adhering to business logic.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop CP4D jobs to extract, transform, and load data into data warehouses.
• Collaborate with business teams and data modelers to understand ETL requirements.
• Develop mapping documents and transformation rules based on source-to-target mapping.
• Handle large data volumes efficiently using IBM CP4D tools.
• Perform unit testing and support performance testing of CP4D jobs.
• Create and maintain ETL technical design documentation, test cases, results, and issues.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration.
  
  

Requirements:

Must Have:

• 6+ years of ETL development experience, including 4+ years with IBM InfoSphere DataStage/CP4D.
• Strong hands-on experience with DataStage Parallel Jobs, Sequence Jobs, Server Jobs, shared containers, parameters, job control, and restartability.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with DB2; experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, or similar platforms is valuable.
• Experience developing and tuning ETL workflows using Hierarchical, transformer, joins, lookups, aggregations, funnels, sorts, partitioning, and surrogate-key handling.
• Ability to diagnose job failures, performance bottlenecks, metadata/schema issues, connector failures, and parallel-engine errors.
• Experience integrating files, APIs/web services, XML/JSON, message queues, and relational databases.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix commands, shell scripting, and scheduling/orchestration tools.
• Understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, data quality, data lineage, and reconciliation controls.
• Experience with source control, CI/CD, code reviews, release management, and production support.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs and ETL specifications.
• Familiarity with Unix Scripting
• Experience with IBM DataStage
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
