Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and passionate Node.js Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and maintainable Node.js applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js (or similar frameworks).

* Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.

* Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.

* Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate APIs with user interfaces.

* Troubleshoot and debug applications.

* Optimize application performance and scalability.

* Stay up-to-date with the latest Node.js technologies and best practices.

* Contribute to the improvement of our development processes and tools.

Qualifications

* 6+ years of professional experience in Node.js development.

* Strong understanding of JavaScript, including ES6+ features.

* Experience with Express.js or similar Node.js frameworks.

* Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).

* Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

* Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Mocha, Jest).

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

* A passion for learning and staying updated with the latest technologies.

Bonus Points

* Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

* Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

* Experience with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).

* Experience with GraphQL.

* Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
