Job Title: Software Engineer (Unix/C++, GCP)

Location: Remote (Hyderabad/Bengaluru/Chennai)

Experience: 5+ years

Work Mode: 100% Remote (Must have EST time zone overlap)

Employment Type: Long-Term Contract

Dual Employment: Not permitted must be terminated before onboarding

Key Responsibilities:

*Analyze, interpret, and document legacy Unix/C/C++ processes to understand business logic and workflows.

*Migrate and modernize legacy systems into Google Cloud Platform (GCP) leveraging BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Airflow.

*Apply AI-assisted development tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot) for code analysis, documentation, and optimization.

*Design, implement, and optimize scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native solutions.

*Troubleshoot technical challenges during migration, ensuring accuracy and performance of migrated processes.

*Collaborate with cross-functional teams while working independently to drive solutions forward.

*Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for migration logic, workflows, and implemented solutions.

Required Qualifications:

1. Strong experience with Unix/Linux environments.

2. Ability to read and analyze C/C++ code (development experience preferred, but analysis/migration is primary).

3. Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services: BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Airflow.

4. Familiarity with AI-powered code analysis tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot).

5. Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in complex systems.

6. Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal) and documentation expertise.

Preferred/Optional Skills:

*Experience with Python, Java, or Shell scripting.

*Exposure to ETL frameworks and large-scale data transformation pipelines.

Soft Skills:

*Independent thinker with a self-driven approach.

*Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

*Ability to perform in remote, fast-paced, and global environments.
